On our way to climate-neutral dairy
FrieslandCampina’s climate plan is part of its Nourishing a better planet sustainability programme, within the compass of which attention is also devoted to good and affordable food, a good living for farmers, biodiversity, sustainable packaging, and sustainable sourcing of raw materials. We aim to produce net climate-neutral dairy by no later than 2050.

Our sustainability programme is about the following 6 priorities. To us sustainability entails having a positive impact on farmers, societies and on our planet. It is about realising a better living for farmers, producing in balance with nature and nourishing the world’s growing population with better and affordable nutrition.
Better nutrition, affordable for everyone
We aim to comply to FrieslandCampina’s Global Nutritional Standards Next Level and to expand access to nutrition for lower income groups throughout the world.Better living for farmers
Our goal is to always have the highest possible performance price for our member dairy farmers and to train 75.000 local farmers through our Dairy Development activities by 2025.Better climate, climate-neutral future
Towards 2030, we aim to reduce over a third of our greenhouse gas emissions, compared to 2015. We want to produce climate neutrally by 2050 at the latest.Better nature, improving biodiversity
By 2050, we aim to have a net positive biodiversity impact within the cooperative.Better packaging, 100% circular
By 2025, 100% of our packaging will be recyclable/reusable and more than 99% waste materials will be re-used.Better sourcing, 100% responsible
By 2025, we aim for 100% sustainably sourced agricultural raw materials and 95% traceable (selected) raw materials.
So much to do, luckily we have focus
We consider it important to focus on those aspects on which we have a real impact. This is why we have linked eight Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations to our priority work.

In the past decade we have worked tirelessly on a set of goals to build a better future for generations to come. And we have achieved a lot both as a company and as a cooperative.
