We are an employer for everyone. Every human being has the right to a pleasant and safe working environment, regardless of their personal beliefs, preferences and characteristics. We are committed to safety for everyone, through rules, procedures, health support and awareness campaigns.

Working safely

We strive for zero accidents

We want our employees to return home safely every day. That includes the employees in our production facilities as well as those in our offices. To make this possible, we heavily emphasize awareness and prevention. Using safety managers and e-learning courses, among other things, our goal is to reduce the number of accidents to zero. Each facility has a scoreboard with the number of accident-free days at that facility. In recent years, multiple production facilities have celebrated a thousand or even two thousand days with no accidents that resulted in absenteeism.

Working well

Workplace respect

At FrieslandCampina, we ensure not only physical safety but also create a pleasant and secure work environment where people treat each other with respect and professionalism, and where individual differences are valued.

Our Workplace Respect policy sets out the principles of what we see as treating each other respectfully. Together with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) policy and the Human Rights policy, this forms the foundation for rrespecting people across our organisation.

While addressing disrespectful behaviour can feel uncomfortable, we encourage open and constructive dialogues between the people involved. We do this through our Compass programme, our guiding light that unites our purpose, values, and business principles.

Concerns related to Compass can always be raised through our Speak Up process that allows everyone, in and outside of FrieslandCampina, to raise any concerns they may have about behaviour that is not in line with Compass. Speak Up provides a safe and confidential way to report any concerns, and reports can be made anonymously if desired.

Supporting health and wellbeing

We aim to make a difference in the lives of our employees and strive to have a positive impact on their health and well-being every day. This means creating a work environment where everyone feels good and can perform at their best. Well-being is an integral part of our workplace culture, and we offer comprehensive health programmes to support this.

  • Wellbeing Academy

An online platform with information on health topics such as mental and emotional well-being, lifestyle, financial stability, and women's health. It includes e-learnings, workshops, and tools.
  • Health programmes and support

We offer programmes and initiatives around the world to employees and their families, such as 'Boest Helps' in the Netherlands for (preventive) medical support.
  • Hybrid working

While we value face-to-face interactions, we combine collaboration with flexibility to ensure a seamless balance between work and personal life.

Our offices are designed according to healthy principles such as availability of lactation/prayer rooms, adjustable furniture and natural light.
