About us

Our values

Our values form the foundation of how we work, how we do business and how we deliver on our strategy. They guide our decisions, our behaviour and how we take responsibility, both within our organisation and across the value chain.

More than 19,000 employees represent our organisation. Our success and reputation are largely shaped by their actions, every single day. Together, they drive innovation, quality and sustainable growth, guided by shared values and a collective sense of responsibility.

As a global dairy company and a cooperative of dairy farmers, we operate with respect for people, animals and the planet. We expect our employees and partners to act in line with our standards for integrity and responsible business conduct.

Our core values

Our core values provide clear direction for how we work and collaborate. With each other, with our farmers and with partners around the world.

  • We act with respect

We act with respect for people, animals and the planet. We listen, learn and are open to different perspectives.
  • We aim higher

We continuously strive to improve. With courage and accountability, we build sustainable growth.
  • We succeed together

Together, we achieve more. We work with and for our farmers, customers and society.

Compass: our code of conduct

Our core values are the foundation. In Compass, our code of conduct, we translate these values into clear guidelines for how we work and do business. Compass outlines our core values, principles and standards for working together in areas such as food safety and quality, respect in the workplace, fair communication, privacy and data protection, preventing bribery, fair competition, protecting confidential information, integrity in reporting and preventing fraud.

Compass supports our employees and partners in making the right decisions in their daily work. All new employees follow a mandatory Compass onboarding training, and everyone receives a Compass refresher training on a regular basis. Supported by an ongoing awareness and education programme, we can ensure everyone knows what is expected of them.

Speak Up

We believe it is important that everyone feels safe to ask questions and raise concerns. That is why we encourage our employees and partners to speak up if something is not right or could be improved. If there are concerns about a possible breach of Compass, employees and external stakeholders can use our Speak Up service. This provides a safe and confidential way to report concerns, by phone, email or through our online platform. Reports are handled confidentially and followed up within 48 hours. If preferred, reports can be made anonymously. Together, we create an open and ethical working environment where we continue to learn, improve and take responsibility.
