Guaranteed price for December 2017 41.50 euros

The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for December 2017 is 41.50 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price decreases by 0.25 euros compared to November (41.75 euros).

 

The guaranteed price for December includes a correction of 0.92 euros to compensate for the forecast of the milk prices of the reference companies in the previous months, which were estimated too low. The decrease in the guaranteed price is mainly the result of the expectation that the milk prices of the reference companies in December will drop. The downward trend in sales prices dairy products, especially of cheese and butter, continues caused by an increasing milk supply.

The protein price in December is 677.44 euros, the fat price is 338.72 euros and the lactose price is 67.74 euros per 100 kilogrammes.

The guaranteed price applies to 100 kilogrammes of milk with a protein content of 3.47 percent, a fat content of 4.41 percent and a lactose content of 4.51 percent and is exclusive of VAT. From 2017 the amounts shown apply to an average supply of 800,000 kilogrammes of milk annually (in previous years 600,000 kilogrammes). The volume-based premium and seasonal scheme are discontinued starting in 2017.
