FrieslandCampina guaranteed price July 2021: EUR 37.50 per 100 kilos of milk

The FrieslandCampina Guaranteed Price for July is EUR 0.50 lower than in June (EUR 38.00). The fall is entirely attributable to a downward correction as a result of overestimated reference milk prices in the previous period. Excluding this correction, the FrieslandCampina Guaranteed Price in July would have remained stable compared to last month. This is due to a levelling off of the milk price increases of the reference companies, caused by the fact that, for the time being, there is no strong recovery in the demand for dairy products in the Western world despite the opening up of the hospitality sector.

This month the protein value is EUR 601.64, the fat value EUR 300.82 and the lactose value EUR 60.16 per 100 kilos.

The average FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for the year 2021 including this month is EUR 36.21.

The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price applies to 100 kg of milk with standard contents 3.57% protein, 4.42% fat and 4.53% lactose, exclusive of VAT. The amounts shown apply to an average supply of 850,000 kilos of milk annually.

On the basis of the monthly guaranteed price, a member dairy farmer receives a milk price. The milk price is based on the fat, protein and lactose content of the milk supplied by the relevant dairy farm. The difference between the guaranteed price and the milk price is caused by the settlement of fixed costs of EUR 0.18.
