What began as a collaboration between farmers has grown into one of the world’s largest dairy cooperatives. We operate in 30 countries, employ more than 19,000 people, and our products reach over 100 countries.

That year, farmers joined forces in the predecessor of today’s cooperative, strengthening their market position and securing the future of their milk. For us, milk is more than a raw material. FrieslandCampina is fully owned by Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A. More than 15,000 dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France are co-owners of the company. They supply the milk and help shape company direction. This cooperative structure makes us a unique dairy company, where the interests of farmers and the company are directly connected across the dairy value chain.
