Working together
To us, sustainability means making a commitment to achieving sustainable impact over the long term. If possible, we like to measure this impact. For example, we can do so in cooperation with the World Wide Fund for Nature's Netherlands office (WNF) and Rabobank to launch the Biodiversity Monitor, or together with fellow multinationals to promote cleaner fuels in the shipping industry. For us, it is all about achieving this sustainable impact.
Respecting human rights
We take responsibility. With a Human Rights Policy, we commit to respecting internationally recognised human rights in our global operations and value chain. We conduct human rights due diligence and provide access to remedy for affected stakeholders in a collaborative way. Read more about this on our human rights page.
Sharing knowledge
We have a wealth of knowledge about dairy and what makes a healthy lifestyle. We are eager to share this knowledge with others, especially people who are less fortunate than us. That is why we initiate and support nutrition and exercise education programmes in emerging countries. Read more about this on our citizenship page.
Working responsibly
Working with us should be an enjoyable experience. We respect each other and are committed to creating a safe and healthy working environment together. We encourage employees to report any shortcomings in this area. Read more about this on our page about working responsibly.
Inclusive Diversity
We believe in the Power of We. We aspire to create a safe and inclusive working environment that allows all employees to bring their best and authentic selves to work. We believe Diversity and Inclusion is successful when they are complementary. Read more about how we strive for Inclusive Diversity.
Dairy Development
We aim to share our knowledge in countries where we do business. Through Dairy Development, we support small farmers in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Romania, Nigeria and Pakistan to improve the quality of their milk, increase the productivity per cow and gain access to the market.
