FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited reports successful half-year run despite political and economic volatility
Karachi: Unveiling its Directors’ Report for the first half of 2026, FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited reported a growth of 12.1% over the same tenure of the previous year, resulting in Rs 58.9 billion in revenue as opposed to Rs 52.5 billion in H1 2025, and an expanded gross margin with 350 bps, and operating profit growth of 53.9% from the same period last year.
The company noted that while the regional conflict since the end of February 2026 has continued to severely affect market stability and predictability, its current performance was driven by a favorable portfolio mix, as well as extensive focus on in-market execution, brand investments, and streamlining supply-chain fundamentals. Additionally, the routine fluctuation in fuel costs and consequential inflation also impacted the consumers’ affordability and demand.
On the packaged milk front, particularly, the 18% government tax on UHT milk continues to impact brand performance with operations below its pre-tax levels from 2024, which the company continues to advocate for through government and stakeholder engagements by highlighting the adverse effects of this taxation on public perceptions, public health, connected livelihoods, and the formal dairy economy.
The company’s dairy-based and frozen desserts brand categories also represented revenue growth from the first half of 2025, scoring 11.1% and 18.9% increases respectively.
Leveraging its global expertise and 150 years of heritage, FCEPL remains committed to the highest standards of hygiene, food safety and sustainability and providing safe, affordable and nourishing dairy products to millions of Pakistanis, every day.
