Muhammad Nasir

Dr. Muhammad Nasir is expert in food science, nutrition, and regulatory affairs and serves as the Head of Corporate Affairs at FCEPL and Sr. Vice Chairman at Pakistan Association of Food Industriies. He holds a Bachelor’s in Agriculture (UAF), Master’s in Food Technology (UAF), Executive MBA (LUMS), and a Doctorate in Food Science (UAF & MSU).

Previously, he was the Founding Chairman of the Food Science & Human Nutrition Department at UVAS, Lahore, focusing on food safety and nutrition. With 70+ research publications, supervision of over 100 MPhil & PhD students, and 100+ national and international presentations, he has significantly advanced food science education and research in Pakistan.

Dr. Nasir has extensive experience in teaching, research, food regulations, nutrition policy, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. A strong advocate for developing Pakistan’s formal food value chains, he believes their growth will drive better nutrition, food safety, farmer livelihoods, and sectoral development.

He actively contributes to food policy and regulatory frameworks across Pakistan and participates in key industry meetings, committees, councils, and boards. Previously, he served as Chair of the UN Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network Pakistan and Secretary of the Pakistan Society of Food Scientists and Technologists.
