Better nutrition

  • 66% of FrieslandCampina’s consumer products complies with the criteria as described in the FrieslandCampina Global Nutritional Standards
  • Balanced product range – basic nutritional products for every day (80%) and self-indulgent products for occasional consumption (20%)
  • Sustainable Campina dairy with the ‘On the way to PlanetProof’ label available in supermarkets
  • Highest gain on the Access to Nutrition Index (ATNI), from 8th to 4th position

A good living for our farmers

  • Value creation for member dairy farmers 0.59 euros per 100 kilos of milk
  • 80.216 farmers trained Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Pakistan, Romania and Nigeria via the Dairy Development Programme
  • 26 Dutch member farmers of FrieslandCampina are included in the so-called Farmer2Farmer Programme
  • This past year, during 23 advisory missions, 16 employees and 17 member dairy farmers from FrieslandCampina provided advisory services to 24 cooperatives, among others, on behalf of FrieslandCampina and its partner organisation Agriterra.

  • Energy consumption stabilised at 2.8 GJ/tonne
  • Greenhouse gas emissions from production and transport -8.7%
  • Greenhouse gas emission by member dairy farms -4.9%
  • Applying pasture grazing by member dairy farms 81.2%
  • The share of raw materials purchased from sustainability managed sources increased to 77%
  • FrieslandCampina’s production facilities in Europe have been fully powered by green electricity since 2017
  • The water consumed by production facilities in the Middle East, Africa and Asia dropped by approximately 6 percent
  • Seventy solar roofs were installed at member dairy farms through the Solar programme
