Piet Boer, FrieslandCampina and the dairy sector

Piet Boer has had numerous governing positions within the various predecessors of the current FrieslandCampina since 1989. Under his leadership, FrieslandCampina has gone through an enormous development in recent years. The company results have improved, which increased the ‘added value’ for the member dairy farmers of the cooperative. He was also active in the dairy sector, e.g. as Chairman of the Commission for Sustainable Milk of the Dutch Dairy Association NZO. Along with others, he has played a key role in developing the vision for the Sustainable development of Dutch dairy farming. Until the moment of his resignation Piet Boer was fully involved in the development of the sector plan for phosphate reduction.
