The Nigerian Honourable Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development visited the Netherlands to get an insight in the Dutch dairy sector and FrieslandCampina in particular.
In these two days the Minister visited FrieslandCampina in Leeuwarden where the delegation discussed the long standing relation between the Netherlands and Nigeria. The highlight of the meeting was the signing of a memorandum of understanding to start the Farmer2Farmer programme in Nigeria as part of the Dairy Development Program. To get a deeper understanding of innovation in dairy, the delegation visited the Dairy Campus in Leeuwarden, FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre and the Wageningen University. Wageningen University and FrieslandCampina WAMCO signed an expression of interest to develop an academic exchange program with Ibadan University in Nigeria. The visit was concluded with a dairy farm visit at one of our member farmers.
