FrieslandCampina compensates member dairy farmers for less milk
Incentive for reducing the production of phosphates by member dairy farms. As from 1 October 2016, FrieslandCampina will pay its member dairy farmers 10 euro cents per not produced kilo of milk for a period of six months. With this measure FrieslandCampina intends to accelerate the reduction of phosphate production at the member dairy farms in anticipation of the announced Dutch phosphate production rights.

FrieslandCampina Balkbrug will switch over to green steam
For its cheese production plant in Balkbrug (the Netherlands), FrieslandCampina will switch over to green steam, generated by burning wood chips. In order to make this possible, the company Brouwer Bio Centrale B.V. will start building a bio incinerator later this month.

Guaranteed price for September 2016 26.25 euros
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for September 2016 is 26.25 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price for September therefore increases with 1.25 euros compared to August.
Dutch Lady starts work on 20th school in Vietnam
The major FrieslandCampina brand in Vietnam, Dutch Lady, started construction of the 20th school in Vietnam under the long-running Den Dom Dom (firefly light) studying encouragement program.

The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for August 2016 is 25.00 euro per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price for August therefore remains the same as in the past three months.
FrieslandCampina enters fast growing Pakistani dairy market through Engro Foods
Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. has signed a share purchase agreement with Engro Corporation to acquire 51 per cent of the shares in its subsidiary Engro Foods Limited, in partnership with the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Dutch development bank FMO. The acquisition of Engro Foods, which is the second largest dairy company in Pakistan, enables FrieslandCampina to obtain a key position in Central Asia.
