Global dairy producer Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. is exploring options to build a sustainable and innovative dairy processing plant in the Netherlands.
Including women farmers to achieve SDG’s
FrieslandCampina WAMCO and public organization IFDC (under the 2SCALE project) work together with pastoralist milk producers in Oyo State, Nigeria to boost the quality and quantity of local milk and improve the livelihoods of farmers. Because of the important role that women play in dairy farming in Nigeria, the project specifically focuses on women and their needs.
Year of transformation: new strategy with focus on market and sustainability

FrieslandCampina guaranteed price March 2019: 36.50 euros per 100 kilos of milk
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price remains the same as the guaranteed price of last month (36.50 euros). This is based on the expectation that prices for raw milk paid by the reference companies remain virtually unchanged as a result of stable basic dairy prices.
FrieslandCampina organic guaranteed price March 2019: 48.50 euros per 100 kilos of milk
The FrieslandCampina organic guaranteed price rises by 0.50 euros, compared to the organic guaranteed price from the previous month (48.00 euros), based on the expectation that prices paid by the reference companies for organic raw milk will increase slightly.
FrieslandCampina signs Plastic Pact and opts for 100% recyclable packaging in 2025
FrieslandCampina is committed to using less plastic and does not want to use more (types of) plastic than necessary in the Netherlands. That is why we have signed the Plastic Pact NL. Bas Roelofs, Managing Director FrieslandCampina Consumer Dairy Netherlands, signed the pact that aims for less plastic in the circular economy yesterday.
FrieslandCampina starts producing more sustainable PlanetProof cheese
Following a successful introduction of Campina dairy with the "On the way to PlanetProof" quality mark in December 2018, FrieslandCampina now makes the step towards cheese. Milner is the first Dutch cheese brand that will be sold under the "PlanetProof" quality mark.
Dairy farmers rewarded more for sustainability efforts
Dairy farmers in the province of Drenthe (NL) now receive more remuneration for their efforts in the area of biodiversity. The province of Drenthe and Rabobank have agreed to grant rewards on the basis of similar biodiversity criteria as FrieslandCampina. This will make it more attractive for member dairy farmers to take even more sustainable initiatives.
FrieslandCampina guaranteed price February 2019: 36.50 euros per 100 kilos of milk
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price increases by 0.25 euros compared to the guaranteed price of last month (36.25 euros), based on the expectation that prices for raw milk paid by the reference companies will increase, because of rising basic dairy prices.
