FrieslandCampina adapts regulations for the payment of milk to exceptional situations
The Member Council of Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A. gave its approval for proposed amendment of regulations for the payment of milk on Tuesday 15 November 2016. This amendment offers the possibility to quickly and effectively take temporary measures in exceptional situations.
Have a taste of farm life in virtual reality
On Saturday 12 November, 100 dairy farmers will be ready in the Albert Heijn supermarkets to show customers where Campina milk is coming from. Using virtual reality glasses, Campina will take along the shoppers into the world of the dairy farmer by means of a 360 degrees film. By watching this film, they can have a unique look at the farm and learn more about our dairy products.
BPD develops new town hotspot at the Coberco site in Arnhem
Yesterday, Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. and BPD announced that they had reached an agreement about the sales of the former Coberco site. This is the first step in the development of a new municipal hotspot at the Rhine quay in Arnhem, the Netherlands, retaining the historic and characteristic buildings.
Guaranteed price for November 2016 33.00 euros
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for November 2016 is 33.00 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price for November increases with 3.75 euros compared to October.
Roel van Neerbos appointed member of the Executive Board of FrieslandCampina
The Supervisory Board of Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. has appointed Roel van Neerbos member of the Executive Board with effect from 1 January 2017. Roel van Neerbos will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for the business group Consumer Products Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Biogas for FrieslandCampina in the Netherlands
Apart from sustainable pyrolyses oil, FrieslandCampina will also start using biogas to generate steam in its production location in Borculo (the Netherlands). In view of this, the dairy company has entered into a joint venture agreement with Groot Zevert Vergisting (GZV) from Beltrum in the Dutch province of Gelderland. FrieslandCampina will annually buy 8 million m3 biogas from GZV.
Gerrit Jansen wint de Gouden Kaasboor
De Gouden Kaasboor 2016 is gewonnen door Gerrit Jansen werkzaam als Cheese Technologist/keurmeester bij de business group Cheese, Butter & Milkpowder. Gerrit was, met 238 punten, de beste van 492 deelnemers die deelnamen aan het Nederlands Nationaal Kaaskeur Concours.
Gregory Sklikas to leave FrieslandCampina
Gregory Sklikas, currently member of the Executive Board of Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. and Chief Operating Officer of the Business Group Consumer Products Europe, Middle East & Africa, has decided to leave FrieslandCampina with effect from 31 December 2016.
Subsidy for sustainable generation of energy using manure from dairy farms
Henk Kamp, the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, gave the starting signal for Cooperative Jumpstart. He did this by putting the first standard manure mono-fermentation system into operation at dairy farm Sassinga of the Heeg family in Hinnaard in the Dutch province of Friesland. Jumpstart is a cooperative providing technical assistance to dairy farmers with respect to the installation and use of manure mono-fermentation systems.
FrieslandCampina wants to increase its outdoor grazing premium to 1.50 euro per 100 kg milk
The Board of the Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A. and the Executive Board of Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. propose to the member dairy farmers to increase the outdoor grazing premium to 1.50 euro per 100 kg milk.
