Johan Priem resigns from Friesland Foods’ Board of Management

9 May 2008

Johan Priem (53) will resign from his position as member of the Board of Management of Koninklijke Friesland Foods N.V. on 1 July 2008.

Johan Priem has been a member of the Board of Management of Friesland Foods since 1997. Initially, he planned to resign from the Board of Management early 2007. However, due Luc Dahlhaus’ unplanned departure with effect from April 2007 as result of illness, Robert van Ballegooijen’s departure as a member of the Board of Management with effect from February 2008 and the merger talks with Campina, Johan Priem stayed on longer at the Supervisory Board’s request.

The Supervisory Board is grateful to Johan Priem for his commitment and achievements over the past 11 years. Sybren Attema, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: “Under Johan Priem’s management, Friesland Foods’ international operations have been greatly expanded. The Key Drive Brands principle he introduced is at the heart of our brand strategy and forms the basis for the Friesland Foods Key Drive Brands positioning and performance in the Netherlands and internationally.”

The duties and responsibilities of Johan Priem will be taken over by Theo Spierings. With effect from 1 July 2008, the Board of Management will comprise Cees ’t Hart (CEO), Theo Spierings (COO) and André Boudewijns (CFO).
