FrieslandCampina launches ‘Nutrition in Healthcare’ platform which offers knowledge and inspiration with respect to eating and drinking and is aimed at people working in small-scale healthcare facilities.
Small-scale healthcare is increasing and healthcare workers are often also responsible for food and drink. Eating and drinking offer the residents their moments of enjoyment and therefore these are important times of the day. The online platform ‘Nutrition in Healthcare’ supports healthcare workers with ideas, tips and recipes.
Study into healthcare workers
FrieslandCampina has conducted a study among healthcare workers in the Netherlands in order to gain insight into what can help healthcare workers in their daily jobs. One of the results was that healthcare workers want to know more about food and drink. They do not only need nutritional information, but also practical tips like how they can make eating and drinking more enjoyable in healthcare.
The online platform ‘Nutrition in Healthcare’ seizes on this with, among others, columns written by dieticians about various topical issues such as proteins and the new information model for Healthy Nutrition. The platform also offers inspiration for making the eating moments more enjoyable with, for instance, simple recipes focused on small-scale facilities.
