Impact of DDB blockades of production facilities

Blockades of the Friesland Foods production facilities in Nijkerk, Leeuwarden, Workum, Gerkesklooster, Marum, Dronrijp and Varsseveld by the Dutch Dairymen Board (DDB) has made milk processing at these facilities impossible. Other production facilities are working at full capacity, but there is no buffer capacity left.
Breaking news and updates on the milk transport situation will be published on the Friesland Foods website www.frieslandfoods.com.
Dairy farmers have kept the Friesland Foods production facility in Nijkerk blocked with tractors since 10.30 hrs on Friday, 30 May. Blockades of the production facilities in Leeuwarden, Workum, Gerkesklooster, Marum, Dronrijp and Varsseveld followed on Saturday, 31 May.
