On Wednesday October 28th, the CEO of Royal FrieslandCampina and the president of Dutch Dairy Association (NZO) Mr. Roelof Joosten visited China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) and met with Vice Minister Mr. Teng Jiacai in the context of the royal state visit. The purpose of this visit is to strengthen knowledge exchange and cooperation for dairy industry supervision between the two countries.
Vice Minister mentioned the IFT recipe registration as a key message in the new Food Safety Law that came into effect very recently. Mr. Roelof Joosten suggested that an international seminar on IFT recipe registration be held in June 2016 with NZO and CFDA as the co-organizers and signing of MOU for a three-year training program for Chinese experts and officials to learn the Dutch approach of IFT recipe regulation, which was very much welcomed and concurred by Vice Minister Teng. Both sides also exchanged ideas on consumers’ confidence in locally produced dairy products.
