Bronze for Holland Master cheese

7 June 2019

The Gouda Cheese Awards were presented on Thursday 6 June 2019. Our own cheese, Holland Master, received a bronze award in the category Gouda semi-matured cheese 48+. The cheese may carry the designation ‘most delicious cheese of the Netherlands’. The trophies were presented by Frau Antje.

Holland Master matured cheese is a North Holland Gouda cheese made from 100% meadow milk originating from the Dutch province of North Holland. The cheese is made in a traditional way by our cheese makers in Lutjewinkel in North Holland. The Holland Master carries the quality mark Protected Designation of Origin, granted by the European Union.

The cheese has a creamy texture and a slightly sweet aroma with notes of butterscotch, roasted hazelnuts and a touch of cognac. Holland Master cheese is sold in Germany and Spain.

FrieslandCampina is proud of its ‘bronze achievement’ and congratulates all prizewinners!
