FrieslandCampina wins Public Affairs Asia Gold Standard Award 2014

FrieslandCampina has won the Public Affairs Asia 2014 Gold Standard Award for Stakeholder Engagement. The award was made in recognition of the company’s commitment to supporting the sustainable development of dairy farming and creating shared value with its stakeholders across Asia through its Dairy Development Programme.

FrieslandCampina’s Dairy Development Programme enables the company to contribute towards the further development of local dairy farming in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Nigeria. Through knowledge-sharing, training courses, exchange programmes and the establishment of local milk distribution systems, the Dairy Development Programme has already supported over 40,000 local dairy farmers in Asia in their efforts to improve their farming techniques and create sustainable farming businesses. FrieslandCampina was shortlisted for the award with three other global companies.

Industry benchmark
Ada Wong, Head of Public Affairs and Communications, FrieslandCampina Asia, collected the award at the ceremony on 4 December in Hong Kong. Public Affairs Asia’s Gold Standard Award is one of the most prestigious in Asia Pacific and represents the industry benchmark for public affairs, government relations and strategic communication.
