The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for December 2014 is 30.75 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price is 3.75 euros lower than in November 2014 (34.50 euros).
The reduction of the guaranteed price is the consequence of a lower forecast for the milk prices of the reference companies in December. Global milk supply remains high because of favourable weather and production conditions. On the other hand, the demand for dairy is stagnant and the Russian boycott of EU agricultural products interferes in the market and price setting of dairy products.
In the decline of the guaranteed price with 3.75 euro is a negative adjustment of 1.25 euro due to perceived high milk prices of the reference companies in October.
The protein price in December is 501.96 euros, the fat price is 250.98 euros and the lactose price is 50.20 euros per 100 kilogrammes.
All in all, the guaranteed price for 2014 as a whole will be 39.30 euros. In 2013, the guaranteed price was 39.45 euros and the milk price (guaranteed price plus performance premium plus member bond reserve) was 42.49 euros.
