FrieslandCampina participates in The Green Quest

FrieslandCampina is a new candidate in The Green Quest, a quest for solutions for companies to produce in a more green and sustainable way. FrieslandCampina DMV in Veghel (the Netherlands) is participating and is looking for new ways to further realize their sustainability goals.

FrieslandCampina wants to grow in a climate-neutral way and therefore focuses on energy efficiency, CO2 reduction and the use of sustainable energy. The production location FrieslandCampina DMV in Veghel contributes to this with two concrete goals:

  1. First, the company wants to reduce the use of energy, water and waste water with at least 25% in 2020, compared to the year 2010.
  2. Second, the company also wants to make sure that 10% of their revenue comes from sustainable propositions that help their customers to realize their own sustainable business goals.


Brainstorm Bubble on August 30
Together with The Green Quest, FrieslandCampina is looking for sustainable and cost effective measures. On Saturday August 30, the quest will begin at FrieslandCampina DMV in Veghel. A Green Team of sustainability experts will gather and join forces with a management team of FrieslandCampina. In a giant transparent Brainstorm Bubble they will discuss green solutions for the company and the processes of the company; employees will play an important part in this. On Thursday September 25 the Green Team will share its ideas and an action plan at FrieslandCampina Veghel.

Crowd sourcing
The Green Quest believes in the power of ‘crowd sourcing’ and calls for other companies and individuals to help FrieslandCampina DMV with ideas that will help reach the sustainability goals. People can share their ideas and suggestions by posting a tweet with #thegreenquest or mail an idea to The person or team with the best idea will get the opportunity to present the idea to the Green Team and will get a special mention on the website.
