From tomorrow – World School Milk Day – visitors to the CORPUS educational attraction will be able to see a new exhibition: the World of Milk. The World of Milk is an instructive presentation which explains the role of milk as part of a balanced diet.
The World of Milk ties in with the ‘Journey through the Human Body’, an informative exhibition which teaches people how their bodies work. Interactive displays show visitors the effect of the nutrients found in milk on the body and how they help to build muscles and generate energy.
The World of Milk is part of a three-year partnership between CORPUS and FrieslandCampina to highlight the importance of exercise, a balanced, nutritious diet and a healthy lifestyle.
FrieslandCampina’s Director of Corporate Communication Frank van Ooijen said of the new exhibition: “Taking adequate physical exercise and being aware of what to eat to provide yourself with a balanced diet containing all the nutrients you need each day is vital in maintaining a healthy body weight and a healthy lifestyle. Milk is a key source of essential nutrients, and FrieslandCampina is keen to share this fact with visitors to CORPUS.”
“The informative exhibition ‘Journey through the Human Body’ shows visitors in an unusual and appealing way how the body works and how important it is to take enough exercise, eat responsibly and live a healthy life,” explains Director of CORPUS Huub Lazarom.
The CORPUS attraction welcomed a total of 230,000 visitors in 2012. As well as the exhibition, there is also a conference centre on-site. The CORPUS Conference Centre houses a conference hall, a lounge, a number of ‘breakout’ rooms and a penthouse. In summer 2012, the Hilton Garden Inn Leiden opened next door to the attraction.
