May guaranteed price of 32.75 euros

7 May 2012

The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for May 2012 is 32.75 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The May guaranteed price is therefore 1.00 euros below the guaranteed price for April 2012 (33.75 euros).

The reduction in the guaranteed price is due to the lower milk prices to be expected of the reference companies caused by lower quoted prices for products such as butter, whey and full-fat milk powder. The fat price in May 2012 has fallen to 3.05 euros per kilogramme, while the protein price is higher, at 6.46 euros per kilogramme (April 2012: 3.43 euros and 6.27 euros respectively). The guaranteed price applies to 100 kilogrammes of milk with a fat content of 4.41% and a protein content of 3.47% and is exclusive of VAT.
