FrieslandCampina Germany wins PriMax 2010

6 October 2010

The Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG) has honoured dairy organisation FrieslandCampina Germany from Heilbronn with the PriMax 2010 award during the DLG Food Fair in Darmstadt (Germany). This leading award within the European dairy sector is given to only ten companies per year.

With the PriMax DLG recognises a company’s exceptional performance in the annual quality tests. FrieslandCampina Germany received the trophy for the excellent quality of its milk products. At the festive prize giving ceremony, DLG President Carl-Albrecht Bartmer was full of praise for the winner’s efforts to achieve quality: ‘Sustainable quality is a key factor for success these days and takes up an important position in your company too. You therefore deserve a place in the hall of fame of Germany’s foods sector. Your high demands on durability form the basis for consumer trust in the quality of your products. The PriMax award is proof that that confidence is justified.’

The DLG has been awarding the PriMax each year since 1998 to German and foreign dairy companies and cheese makers. The prize is intended for specialists in the ‘white line’ (milk products) and the ‘yellow line’ (cheese products). The price is awarded on the basis of test results of products in the current DLG quality control for dairy products. This year, around 3,000 products manufactured by 264 companies from thirteen countries were tested.
