The sixth school set up through the Den Dom Dom project opened in Central Vietnam on 2 March. The school has places for 200 children who would not otherwise be able to have an education. Much of the funding for the school was raised through collections organised by students and staff of FrieslandCampina in Vietnam and the Netherlands.
Schooling cannot be taken for granted in Vietnam. Many parents have no money to send their children to school. The Den Dom Dom Scholarship Programme is an initiative of FrieslandCampina Vietnam, which works with local partners. Scholarships provided by the Den Dom Dom project enable many poor children to attend school.
