“Milk ensures a better absorption of minerals from high-fibre food”
29 December 2016
Renske Dekkers works as a senior researcher at FrieslandCampina Innovation Centre. She led the project about bioavailability; that is, the absorption of nutrients by the body from food, in this case, from milk.
This was a whole new field of research for FrieslandCampina. The project yielded a number of interesting insights. Among other things, that milk plays a role in the absorption of nutrients from the rest of your diet. There is a difference between having a sandwich with a glass of milk or a glass of water. Renske tells how important it is to share the results of this research across the world.
