FrieslandCampina full speed ahead towards sustainable milk
Today, FrieslandCampina has announced that it will accelerate and further expedite its purpose driven strategy nourishing by nature with an even stronger commitment to sustainability. FrieslandCampina proposes to its members the introduction of a certified Top Dairy line with extra focus on animals, nature, and climate: dairy with a lower CO2 equivalent, with a high score on animal welfare and on biodiversity.
Cows happily outside at the opening of the farmer season
Campina celebrated the start of the farmer season with the first outdoor grazing at the farm of farmer Niels in Leusden on Monday 9 April. Traditionally, this first outdoor grazing would have taken place on 20 March – the first day of spring. However, because of the weather conditions the meadow was not ready yet for the dancing cows on this day. By now, the sun is seen more often and this makes the grass nutritious enough for the cows to graze.
Member Council FrieslandCampina approves annual reports of 2017
The Member Council of Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A. accepted the annual reports of Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina U.A for the year 2017 on Thursday 29 March 2018. Additionally, it agreed with the proposal of the Board to add the result of the year 2017 of 143 million euro to the general reserve.
Guaranteed price for April 2018 34.50 euros
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for April 2018 is 34.50 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price decreases by 1.00 euro compared to March 2018 (35.50 euros).
Organic guaranteed price for April 2018 48.00 euros
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for organic raw milk for April 2018 is 48.00 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The organic guaranteed price for April decreases with 2.50 euro in comparison with the organic guaranteed price for March 2018 (50.50 euro).
Empower female dairy farmers through the Dairy Development Programme
Women play an important role in agriculture, including dairy farming. At many dairy farms, women are responsible for important tasks in and around the house and shed, such as feeding, rearing young stock, milking, cleaning and/or bookkeeping.
Higher revenues, reduced profit, significant increase of milk price
Revenues of Royal FrieslandCampina N.V. increased by 10.1 percent to 12.1 billion euros in 2017.

FrieslandCampina doubles solar panels on shed roofs
The number of dairy farmers participating in the Solar programme of FrieslandCampina and opting for solar panels has increased from 310 to 654. With this the number of solar panels is doubled to over 800,000 which equals the surface of about 200 football fields.
