Hands-on Software Engineer Industrial Automation

The role of Software Engineer is all about reducing downtime and incidents, ensuring reliable, robust and efficient manufacturing processes and maximising the availability of infrastructure and applications.
You are Responsible for formulating, implementing and monitoring our information and automation policy in accordance with ISA-95 level 1, 2 & 3, you will ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our automated business processes and information is both safeguarded and improved upon. You will also see that the availability of our Manufacturing Information Technology infrastructure for business process is guaranteed. Troubleshooting process automations such as PLC (S7) / SCADA (PCS7) / MES/OEE (Simatic IT) will be an important part of the role, as will standardising processes according to company policy, managing and implementing procedures and change management, participating in projects and carrying out improvements and modifications.

Well-organised with excellent planning and monitoring skills, you have good knowledge of Siemens systems and a real attention to detail experience in process industry is a plus. Good communication skills are important too, as is a willingness to keep your professional knowledge up-to-date and a desire to work for an organisation that is a leader in its field.

In addition to the above mentioned skills and experience, it is essential that you also have the following: 
• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology
• 3 years’ relevant work experience
