Guaranteed price for March: 34.50 euros
The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for March 2013 is 34.50 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The guaranteed price for March is thus 0.50 euros below the level of the guaranteed price for February 2013 (35.00 euros).
The reduction in the guaranteed price is the result of expected lower milk prices of the reference companies in March and a small correction of the milk prices in January, which were overestimated. The prices of commodities such as skimmed and full-fat milk powder, whey powder and butter are slightly lower.
In March 2013, the fat price will fall to 3.69 euros per kilogramme, while the protein price will fall to 6.15 euros per kilogramme (February 2013: 3.76 euros and 6.20 euros respectively).
The guaranteed price applies for 100 kilogrammes of milk with a fat content of 4.41% and a protein content of 3.47% and is exclusive of VAT.
