June guaranteed price of 32.00 euros

Amersfoort, the Netherlands - The FrieslandCampina guaranteed price for raw milk for June 2012 is 32.00 euros per 100 kilogrammes of milk. The June guaranteed price is therefore 0.75 euros below the guaranteed price for May 2012 (32.75 euros).

The reduction in the guaranteed price is due to the lower milk prices to be expected of the reference companies. This is due to lower quoted prices for products such as cheese and butter and lower new contract prices for liquid milk in Germany. The fat price in June 2012 has fallen to 2.71 euros per kilogramme, while the protein price is higher, at 6.69 euros per kilogramme (May 2012: 3.05 euros and 6.46 euros respectively). The guaranteed price applies to 100 kilogrammes of milk with a fat content of 4.41% and a protein content of 3.47% and is exclusive of VAT.
