- To ensure sustainability and continued growth of its branded business, FrieslandCampina Hungary intends to reorganise its operations. As a result, the Debrecen factory is planned to be closed. The production of selected products will be put together in the company’s factory in Mateszalka, while a number of products will be outsourced. At the same time, FrieslandCampina explores alternatives to minimize social impact, thus also announced today that it is in advanced negotiations regarding the sale of the Debrecen plant.

Thanks to their joint efforts, member dairy farmers, staff members and Dutch consumers collected this impressive amount through numerous different fundraising campaigns.
- On Monday afternoon, a cheque in the amount of 288,059.13 euro was presented on behalf of FrieslandCampina to the DJs in the Glass House in Enschede by Joost Dijkstra, brand manager Campina, Carien de Bas, marketing PR manager and Maurice Hanegraaf, member dairy farmer from Maren-Kessel.

Royal FrieslandCampina NV does not intend to acquire the French Dairy Company, Bongrain SA.
- With effect from 1 January 2013, both parties will enter into a joint venture with limited scope. The joint venture will be responsible for the sale of Royal FrieslandCampina branded cheese products on the French retail market. Royal FrieslandCampina will contribute its expertise in hard and semi-hard cheese production to the partnership. Bongrain will contribute its knowledge of the French branded cheese retail market.

Heilbronn - Over the coming months and years FrieslandCampina Germany plans to make major investments in its German plants and their infrastructures as well as in its ‘Landliebe’ core brand. The facilities in Cologne, Gütersloh and Heilbronn are to be modernised, while production and administration processes are to be optimised with a view to cutting costs. The aim of the investment programme is to strengthen the company's competitiveness in Germany. With these investments, FrieslandCampina is clearly indicating its commitment to the German market and to its German brands.

‘Novel food’ approval for milk protein derived from cow’s milk
- On 27 November 2012, the European Commission published its decision approving lactoferrin produced by FrieslandCampina as ‘novel food’. This means that lactoferrin can now be used in a variety of foods throughout the European Union, including infant nutrition.
