Encapsulated nutritional oils for enriching specialty foods
It is vital for manufacturers of specialty foods that their products have the correct nutritional values for each specific target group. Take fatty acids, for instance. By encapsulating these fatty acids, they can be easily added to baby and infant food without affecting the smell or taste.
One important example of healthy ingredients that can be added is LC-PUFAs (Long Chain Poly Unsaturated Fatty Acids). These healthy fatty acids - called DHA and ARA on the packagings of baby and infant food - have beneficial properties, such as promoting the brain development of children.
