Members’ Council

The Members’ Council of FrieslandCampina is made up of 210 district council members (maximum of ten from each of the 21 districts). The Members’ Council is the highest body within the co-operative.

This Council approves the decisions of made by the Board insofar as necessary. The Members’ Council also has an important role in exercising control over the company.Every member of the Members’ Council has a vote in the Members’ Council meeting that is weighted according to the amount of milk in that member’s district. The members of a District Council who form part of the Members’ Council are entitled to one vote in the Members’ Council for every ten million kilos of milk delivered by that district to the company over the co-operative’s most recent financial year.
