Co-operative and governance structure
Some 16,000 dairy farmers in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium are members of Zuivelcoöperatie FrieslandCampina. This co-operative is 100 percent owner of the FrieslandCampina company, which is responsible for the milk processing, product manufacturing and sales. Worldwide. Our member dairy farmers are thus joint owners of the FrieslandCampina company via the co-operative.

Districts
Our co-operative’s sphere of operations comprises 21 districts. Each of our member dairy farms belongs to one of these districts.
The direct contact with members as well as their active involvement is a central focus in the district.

The Members’ Council of FrieslandCampina is made up of 210 district council members (Maximum of ten from each of the 21 districts). The Members’ Council is the highest body within the co-operative.
