Cheese is a multi-faceted food, which is well-suited for use in various foods and specialty products. Brands make these cheese specialties recognisable to consumers. FrieslandCampina Cheese Specialties is our operating company responsible for the production and sale of our specialty cheeses.
Most of these specialty cheeses make their way to consumers in numerous countries under our own brands. The best known are Frico, Milner and North Holland cheese, which carries the European Union’s Protected Designation of Origin (BOB).
FrieslandCampina Cheese Specialties is also responsible for the meat alternative Valess. The operating company makes use of the production facilities, R&D organisation and sales organisation of our FrieslandCampina Cheese operating company.
