Operating companies and units, close to the market
In order to be successful in the market, we must have a keen eye for your wishes and connect these to the potential uses of milk.
And that is what FrieslandCampina’s operating companies do every day. These operating companies are active in specific product groups, and sometimes also in a specific country or region. Some also have units dedicated to specific activities.
The exact field of activity differs for each operating company and unit. In many cases they are active in production, marketing, sales and customer services.
Business groups for greater market power
To do what’s right for you, we must be able to use our innovative power and our milk expertise to full effect. This concerns scale and knowledge sharing. For this reason, we have concentrated operating companies that have a lot in common into business groups. Each of our four business groups stands for a certain product group; two are also connected to a specific region:
• Consumer Products Europe (milk, dairy drinks, cream, coffee creamers, yoghurts and desserts in Western Europe);
• Consumer Products International (milk, milk powder, condensed milk, yoghurts and desserts in Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa);
• Cheese & Butter (cheese and butter, worldwide);
• Ingredients (ingredients for the food and pharmaceutical industry, worldwide).
Shared support services
Sometimes, several business groups are active in the same country. Each one needs the same support in such areas as HR (human resources), finance and automation (ICT). To provide this support, we will be setting up shared services for our operating companies, particularly in Western Europe.
Corporate Center for usiness group-overarching strategic activities
The Corporate Center is the head office. The departments of the Corporate Center are engaged in Business Group-overarching strategic issues. These include the contacts with the member dairy farmers. And with you, as a visitor to the FrieslandCampina Company’s international website.
A uniform approach, with scope for individuality
To facilitate the exchange of knowledge, people and working methods within FrieslandCampina, we strive for a uniform approach within our organisation, while offering sufficient scope for the individuality of products, markets and people. Innovation, milk expertise and talent management are important themes for the entire company.
