Vitamins
Vitamins are chemical compounds that are indispensable for our body. They play a role in growth and repair processes and are vital for maintaining good health. Vitamins occur naturally in our food. With a few exceptions, the body cannot manufacture them. There are 13 types of vitamins; nine are soluble in water, four in fat.
Milk is particularly rich in vitamin B12.
Vitamin B12 plays a role in the manufacture of red blood cells and keeps the nervous system in good working order.
All B vitamins are water-soluble, which means the body excretes them relatively quickly. That is why vitamins must be regularly replenished, preferably daily.
